Retrofit Scotland
Retrofit Scotland is accelerating retrofit action.
Around 30% of housing in Scotland does not meet quality standards, compounded by poor energy efficiency.
Inefficient homes not only generate higher carbon emissions but also cause health problems, from respiratory diseases to stress and anxiety.
This creates a cycle where the impacts of poor housing costs the NHS millions each year, and contribute to the global climate emergency.
Retrofit Scotland is a platform to enable those working in construction, retrofit, energy efficiency and public health to scale engagement, action and delivery across communities.
We support the transformation of existing buildings to create healthy buildings, people and planet through four key areas:

Retrofit Practical Training
Hands-on retrofit training and theory.
Equip yourself and your team with a fundamental understanding of retrofit theory and practical approaches to scale impact across Scotland - delivered in partnership with universities, colleges and training providers.
Convening Communities
Let’s retrofit together.
Take part in an annual programme of events, workshops and coworking days to support a community of retrofit practitioners.

Co-working and Events Spaces
Hire space to turn ideas into action.
Access a growing ‘hub-and-spoke' network of flexible co-working, workshop, training, prototyping and events spaces across Scotland – including Scotland’s National Retrofit Centre in Hamilton and Civic House in Glasgow.
Knowledge hub
A space to share the successes and lessons learned from live retrofit projects.
In partnership with The Centre for Net Zero High Density Buildings (CeNZ-HighDB), Retrofit Scotland will be relaunching a case study library and knowledge hub, building on the rich work already done and looking ahead to the next phase of innovation.
